The Hideout by Further Society

A turnkey cabin, designed to be transportable, good for you, and good for the planet.

ALL YOU NEED

The Hideout was inspired by a desire to escape the city and to reconnect with our natural environment

In a busy, screen-obsessed world, we wanted to create a simple, yet beautiful space that fosters creativity, introspection, and showcases the landscape in which it sits.

It has everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Designed to experience nature

The interior of the Hideout is not about the Hideout at all. In fact, our intention was to design the interior to function as a viewing platform to the natural world.

“Involuntary attention requires no mental effort, it just comes naturally. This is the kind of attention we use when we are in nature. The soothing sights and sounds give our mental resources a break. They allow our minds to wander and to reflect, and so restore our capacity to think more clearly.”

Forest Bathing / Shinrin Yoku

Simple luxuries for a comfortable stay.

A hot shower with a private viewing window, watching wildlife while curled up in bed, cooking a nourishing meal. We’ve got you covered.

We designed a space that feels secure and comfortable for an extended stay in nature.

LOCATION

Built to be moved.

By creating a fully built structure off site, nearly the entire construction process happens indoors. This enables us to fabricate year round without the fear of raw materials getting exposed to the elements, while dramatically reducing waste and disturbance at your property.

Constructed with a rigid steel skeleton, the Hideout is designed to be built off site and set into place with ease. And then moved again when plans change.

Comfortable in all seasons

A high-performance envelope, energy efficient, and sustainable best practices means a cabin with clean, fresh air, that will keep you cozy in the winter and cool in the summer.
